How to check your Claude usage and limits (Code, Max & Pro)
Check Claude’s own Usage settings, then compare reported session, weekly and model limits across your accounts with a manual-refresh dashboard.
Updated September 6, 2026
Before starting a long task, it helps to know which account has room. Claude provides usage information for the account you are signed into; the extra work comes when you need to compare several accounts.
Start with Claude’s Usage settings
On supported paid plans, Settings > Usage shows session and weekly progress plus reset information. See Anthropic’s usage guide for the current plan details.
Read every reported limit
- Check the session window and longer allowance together.
- Look for additional model or feature limits. Their labels and availability depend on what the provider reports.
- Keep reset times attached to their own limits. One reset does not mean every allowance is available.
Compare accounts in one place
How Much Usage shows every reported limit on each account card. Readings include their age, and unavailable values stay unknown. It suggests an account within each provider from the saved information; you decide where to work.
- Choose Add account and follow the sign-in instructions for that provider.
- Press Refresh all when you want a new check. Recent readings or provider cooldowns may still be reused.
- Review the percentages, reading age and reported reset times before choosing an account.
How Much Usage brings connected Claude and Codex accounts together. One account is free; unlimited connected accounts cost $15 once. For Claude alone, How Much Claude is $9 once, with one account free. These purchases do not increase your provider allowances.
